William and Paula came to Wellington to start a life with each other quite recently. One fine Thursday morning, William embarked on a whirlwind planning spree. He decided to propose to Paula and so contacted me to capture their candid moments. He would like this to happen in a place where it is less crowded, with a city/sea backdrop in the evening. We acted swiftly and hatched a secret plan: a surprise proposal at Botanical Gardens, where the Wellington city waterfront is in the backdrop, exactly how William wanted.
In the evening, William led Paula to the hilltop. As they stood near the Krupp Gunn, William dropped to one knee. Paula gasped, her hand flying to her mouth and wiping the happy tears. I captured the moment—the raw emotion, the vulnerability, the unspoken words. William asked, “Paula, will you marry me?” Tears sparkled in her eyes as she whispered, “Yes.”
William slipped the ring onto her finger, and they sealed their promise with a kiss. In that fleeting eternity, two souls became one. We went along the gardens to capture a few nice portraits of them both together post-occasion. A tale of love, captured in the soft hues of a Wellington sunset. 🌅💍
As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue across the sky, Vedha and Bhargavi arrived at the beach for their couple's photography session. This session was not just about taking pictures. It was about capturing their love, their joy, and their story most authentically and beautifully as possible.
Each click of the camera shutter preserved a precious memory of their love. The soft, diffused light from the setting sun illuminated their faces, highlighting their expressions of love and happiness. These images were a testament to their bond, a visual narration of their love story.
As the evening light softly filtered through the windows, we began our newborn photography session with baby Enric. The house was filled with the sweet, comforting scent of baby powder and the gentle lullabies playing in the background.
Enric, swaddled in a soft white blanket as he was sleeping, was the picture of serenity. His tiny fingers curled around his mother's finger, a moment of pure love captured forever in a photograph. The soft glow of the evening light highlighted his delicate features, creating a beautiful contrast against the darker background.
Enric, now awake, was exploring what was happening around in his little world. We moved on to a series of family portraits. Enric, cradled in his parents' arms, looked up at them with wide, curious eyes. As the evening progressed, we took some candid shots with his mum and dad too.
The session ended with Enric falling asleep, his tiny chest rising and falling rhythmically. The house was quiet, the only sound being the soft click of the camera capturing this peaceful moment. It was about capturing the tiny details, the fleeting moments, and the overwhelming emotions of welcoming a new life into the world.
The house was buzzing with excitement, filled with the sound of laughter and the sweet aroma of birthday cake. As the guests started arriving, we began our photography session for Sidhanth's 2nd birthday. Sidhanth, dressed in his casual best, was the star of the show. His eyes sparkled with joy as he explored the colorful decorations around him. We captured these precious moments, preserving his childlike wonder and delight in each photograph.
The highlight of the session was the magic show which entertained all the kids (and some adults too) at the party. Then Sidhanth, with a little help from his parents, cut his birthday cake. His face lit up with a big smile as everyone sang the birthday song, creating a heartwarming scene that was captured in a series of candid shots.
Next, we moved on to the family portraits. Sidhanth, nestled comfortably in his parents' arms, looked at the camera with curious eyes. This birthday photography session with Sidharth was a delightful experience. It was about capturing the joy of his 2nd birthday, the love of his family, and the special moments that they shared.
The party was in the evening, and I arrived early. The living room had transformed into a pastel wonderland. Balloons floated like dreams, and a banner spelled out “ONE” in golden letters. Ilan’s highchair stood center stage, adorned with a crown fit for a little prince.
Ilan’s eyes sparkled when the cake appeared—a colourful masterpiece adorned with tonal cream. His tiny fingers hesitated, then plunged into the frosting. Cheers and laughter erupted as he smeared chocolate across his face, a grin peeking through. I positioned myself at the center of the room capturing Ilan's candid moments with his elder sister Iyla as they were posing for the pictures. Then as Ilan's dad helped, he cut the cake and shared a piece with his sister, mom, and dad. As the balloons flew, Ilan chased them, arms outstretched.
Each frame held a piece of Ilan’s laughter, a sprinkle of cake crumbs, and the promise of many more adventures. And so, Ilan’s first birthday became a chapter in my portfolio—a tale of innocence, wonder, and love. For in those fleeting hours, we captured eternity.
